ReplyDeleteGreat candid shots from the pits! Keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteKeep checking back!!!! More to come!
ReplyDeleteMore "behind the scenes" pictures please! It is nice to see what you can't see from the stands or before you get there.
ReplyDeleteThanks
You are so right!
ReplyDeleteI will try to get a a new batch up this weekend when we have our Canada Day Weekend Double Header! Should be lots of cars from other tracks too!

ReplyDeletetry other tracks they are worse..varney is tame compared to others....
ReplyDeleteRemember...rule #1 was to keep it CLEAN. There's kids on here for crying out loud!
ReplyDeleteI love varney. I love racing there and I love watching there. It's our Bristol. If you can survive that little bullring you can race anywhere. The entertainment value for the money is the best in Ontario. Great food and selections, clean washrooms. It's worth the drive to Varney !
ReplyDeleteYou said it!!!!
ReplyDeleteLets talk about Varney and the way some of the drivers cheat, I have seen it with my own eyes how bad the wives whine and bitch its discusting!!. How about you GROW UP and act like ladies (Mrs. Way with the newborn child). We pay alot for a family to attend once in a while only to listen to them complain about cheating when it is their own team doing it. Can you imagine? I wont be bringing my kids back, I have more respect for them than that. And Varney owner's.... you should maybe open your eyes to see what is happening right under your noses because really, VARNEY Motor Speedway is really going downhill fast. Go ahead invite all the cheaters and poor sportmanship people back because really that is all you are going to get. No one with any respect for their families will want to have anything to do with your track and the way you operate.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to meet this race fan in person whom wrote this article (dated Oct 19th)and shake there hand. This couldn't be more true than the way you said it!Tracks rely on positive feed back to make a business successful. I have personally seen tracks go under because the owners are so tied up with the "WHITE ELEPHANT"(no longer of value to its owner)this issue is tarnishing this track .The only advise that I can give Varney owner's is: Not to put to much time and money into your track improvements because you have already lost alot of good and fair competitors ,with many more to follow in 2010.Of coarse you are aware that with these great drivers and sportsmanship ,there fans ,families and pitcrew will follow them!!Word is already out that Sauble will be the track to be at because they have learned to listen to drivers whom wish to have a level playing field...
ReplyDeleteWow. Interesting observation.
ReplyDeleteThe post dated October 19th is one person's opinion that is shared by at least one person at every single track on the planet.
You show me a track where drivers, their wives, their fans or anyone else there, don't talk about cheating and biased officials and I'll eat my Dale Jr. Mountain Dew cap!
Varney is in fact, not "going downhill" as that post stated. Quite the opposite actually. Varney attendance was up this year even with all the rain-outs. Sure, the Rick Mercer deal was big but, we had more rain-outs this year than we've had in some time and still showed positive attendance figures.
Car counts are expected to increase this season as Vareny may be the only track west of London to run the All Pro Modifieds.
Despite all the complaing about Varney not running 16v cars in the stock 4's, we remain one of the only tracks where the mustang is still competitive so, as other tracks jump ship to 16v, we stand to gain cars in this division too.
Passion like what was displayed in the October 19th post is what makes this sport so exciting every week and, that's why I didn't bother deleting it and why I won't delete yours either.
Thanks for the feedback 'anonymous'.
it would be nice if this year for the WOMEN'S CHALLENGE RACE it was actually women that were not racers or exracers, it would give the others a fair chance, dont you think??
ReplyDeletevarney is a great family outing!! But there are a few changes that should be made LIKE the males should have a change table in it!! My son brought his child and Could not even change his BUTT!! Not even in the family washroom was there a place to change him! SO I as teh grandma had to!! What would he have done if I wasnt there!
ReplyDeleteWe do find thougth there is some favorites being played LIKE Charles Embro> Hes get away wiht alot more then MOST drivers do! Thats just to name one!
But as I did say Varney is a great place to bring the family!! Out of all the tracks we have been to and I have to lots!! even to the point of going to PEI!! ITs a great track and keep up the improvements and it does take time!!
Keep up the good work Varney Speedway, l know of three Mustangs that are heading to Varney this yr, because of the earlier comment about 16v.Other tracks won't allow the mustang to be conpetitive and if you own one your not going to sell it....Just head to Varney. Great people! Fun Race track.
